Patrick is a Principal of the firm. Working throughout California with emphasis on the San Francisco Bay Area and Southern California, Pat works closely with privately held companies, family owned firms and high net worth clients to bring clarity to the complex financial and tax issues they face. He helps design plans and implement strategies to guide owners and individuals as they make lifetime ownership and management changes to maximize economic value.
Pat has over 35 years experience as the trusted financial advisor to high net worth individuals and large private corporations located primarily in the West. Prior to joining The Rainier Group he was a senior commercial banker with Wells Fargo Bank, Chief Credit Officer of Xerox Financial Services, and Director of Bank of America’s Private Bank.
He is a founder of iParadigms, LLC the leader in the field of textual intellectual property protection and its subsidiary Turnitin, now synonymous with integrity in academic writing and an essential part of the 21st century educational process. He is a Director of the Stanford Institute for Quantitative Study, QueensCare
(health care for the working poor) & the Bridge Rail Foundation.
A graduate of the University of San Francisco in economics, he is also a graduate of the United States Treasury’s management, compliance and international banking schools. He is a native San Franciscan and a fourth generation Californian. Pat and his family reside in San Francisco and Orange County.
